Questions, answered plainly
What happens when my trial ends?
Nothing is lost. Your account becomes read-only: you can still open everything, read every period and export your full ledger, and new changes are paused until you pick a plan. If you would rather not pay, download your data and keep budgeting free on your device. We never delete your data.
Do you connect to my bank?
Not today. You export a CSV from your bank and import it into TreeO, so it works with every bank on earth and your banking credentials are never shared with anyone. Grove also reads Excel and PDF statements directly. Direct bank connections may come later; the statement import will always work.
Is the free version actually free, forever?
Yes. TreeO Free runs entirely on your device, and core budgeting, CSV import, scoring and export are never gated. What matters to us is that you build the budgeting habit and a better relationship with your money; the paid tiers are there when the deeper views earn it.
Which currencies does TreeO support?
Any currency your device knows how to format: Pula, Rand, Naira, Shilling, Dollar, Euro, Pound, Rupee and the rest. Amounts are stored exactly as you entered them; changing the display currency changes formatting only, never your numbers.
Can I take my data with me?
Always. The full ledger CSV export is available in every tier, including a lapsed account. It is your money and your record of it.
Are the scores computed by AI?
No. Every score, insight and report line is deterministic arithmetic over your own numbers: the same numbers always give the same reading, and every claim traces back to an input you can check. No outside service or model ever sees your data.
